SRCC Placement Season: 2017- A Glorious Beginning

The advent of a new academic year marked the onset of another placement season, full of frenzy and enthusiasm. This year, the placement season at Shri Ram College of Commerce began in the month of August, offering a plethora of job profiles like Consulting, Finance, Audit and Investment Banking. Many reputed companies graced the campus this year, to name a few- A.T. Kearney, Boston Consulting Group, Deutsche Bank and McKinsey & Co.

Till now, approximately 90 offers have been rolled out to the students. The Boston Consulting Group, a Global Managing Consulting firm offering a package of INR 20 LPA, has been bagged by 5 students.

Additionally, the average number of offers extended increased substantially, marking a great leap from last year.

Apart from the Consulting and Investment Banking firms, the Big 4 companies- EY, KPMG, Deloitte and PwC, continued to be the regular recruiters and hired a massive number from the pool of students. Some of the profiles offered by these firms were- Risk Consulting, Deal Advisory, and Management Consulting.

The Placement Cell, SRCC stands committed towards getting the best possible opportunities for its students by providing them with a thriving platform and the best exposure. The Placement Cell operates a one stop online portal- Grievance Redress Cell, a platform wherein student queries are addressed and handled. Not just that, it has expanded its scope this year, by introducing the process of CV Vetting, to ensure the authenticity and veracity of students’ resumes and to reflect the same to the recruiters.

“It’s exhilarating to see the Placement Cell working successfully to connect job seekers with corporate stalwarts, who handpick select few and match requisite knowledge and expertise acquired by students, with organisational needs. I hope that we will be able to reach greater heights in the remaining part of the year.” says Prof. Smita Sharma, Convener of The Placement Cell, SRCC.

The placement session has already started on a positive note at SRCC and it is set to attain many more milestones by the end of this academic year.

We, the team at CKK, congratulate the placement cell for its untiring endeavours to bring world-class organisations to SRCC, and giving students tremendous corporate exposure.
